Labour force constitutes the building blocks for any nation and they have played a crucial role in the evolution and construction of modern Oman. Realizing this vital aspect adequate and proper legislation was promulgated at relevant periods by the government of Oman taking in view of the industrial and economical growth of the country. If the early 1970’s witnessed larger participation of multi racial expatriate work force in the Sultanate, one can now witness in this decade larger participation of Omani nationals almost in every sectors. The Royal Decree No: 34/2003 deals with the laws relating to every aspect of the labour force.
